1. What do I gain from signing up?
By Signing Up with Break Ya Records, you gain an invaluable professional association. This name is being publicized nationwide and you will be a part of it! Whether you're a club DJ, on-air DJ, or mobile DJ, we have things that will benefit you. You will have tracks that are going to be hits long before even the mainstream record pools have them! We have exclusive discounts on gear from over 30 manufacturers, discounts on party giveaways, discounted studio time in the NYC area, can help promote your music with record producers, promote your "mixes" of music, and so much more! We are also working on a mobile entertainer insurance plan.

2. What music is going to be promoted?
Break Ya Records promotes all major genres of music appropriate to the member's setting, ie we wouldn't ask a House Club DJ to play a bangin new Rap track.

3. How can you "break my record?"
We have an exclusive network with DJ's all over the country in every major city playing on the radio, in clubs, and more. We make the track popular from underground and then bring it up to be requested on the radio, so studios beg the labels for the music!

4. How do I submit music?
To submit music it must first be screened and then sampled by some "top affiliate" dj's for quality and sellability. If it passes this stage (and not all tracks do), it will be distributed nationwide for airplay.

5. How much does it cost to have my music promoted?
The cost varies by how big a release you want and what formats you want promoted. The best way to get estimates is to contact us. This varies on whether you are signed or unsigned, and what you have binding already about your tracks.

6. Can I be the DJ of the Week?
DJ of the Week is reserved for DJ's that make outstanding contributions to Break Ya Records, whether letters, articles, reviews or other things contributed to the site.

7. Can I become a top affiliate? Top Affiliates are paid advertisements. Anyone with related but non-competing (to BreakYaRecords, not other advertisers) can place an ad.

8. Is this a record pool?
We do function somewhat like a record pool in that we offer new tracks to DJ's before their mainstream public release, HOWEVER we have private label tracks LONG before they go mainstream and help to make them go mainstream!
